Jane trained at Northern Ballet School (NBS) in Manchester, UK. She studied on the Full Time Professional Dance Teacher Training Course and was trained by Graded and Major examiners of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD.UK) and The Imperial Society of Teacher of Dancing (ISTD.UK).
In that three years of studies, she was awarded her RAD Teaching Diplomas together with all of the written papers in Anatomy & Technique / Psychology, Child Development and Learning / History of Ballet / Music in relation to the teaching of Dance and too gained the ISTD Teacher Associates Qualifications in Imperial Ballet, National Dance, Modern Jazz Theater with Honours which she eligible to enter students for four difference types of UK dance examination board and also together with her variety dance examinations in Advanced levels.
Beside the syllabus works, Jane’s also studied Master Jazz Theater with renowned choreographers “David Needham” and “Eric Carpenter” from United State. She participate in several yearly productions giving her invaluable experience and an understanding of the time consuming and demanding process of staging a dance work from initial rehearsals with the choreographer to stage calls and costume fittings. -performed in the school’s own 430-seat public theater.
With this great experience, it’s helped Jane to build the versatility, confidence and stamina essential for this area of professional theater. As well as performance skills like microphone technique and strong projection and focus on stage, she also learned the importance of set and lighting design, costumes, make-up and props in the overall cohesion of a performance.
Upon her return from UK, she set up Swan Lake Dance Academy in 2003. She has 15 years of teaching experience and entered students for UK Dance Examination Board. She choreographed tremendous differences dances styles for shows, events, competitions and teaches holiday dance workshop locally. Now, Jane is running her own dance academy and producing annual recitals.
Further more, she also has been appointed as a Mentor for the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies under the Royal Academy of Dance, UK.

Pre-School Dance (4 - 7 yrs)
In the babies class, ballet is taught in a fun, but disciplined way, so that young children can enjoy the lesson, some singing also takes place and lessons are structured to teach the vital skills of watching, listening and social interaction.
Tots Move and Groove is the per-school side of Swan Lake and teaches the RAD " Dance To Your Own Tune" per-school dance curriculum from UK.

The Royal Academy of Dance has an international reputation for ballet training excellence. The purpose of this training ad the exams is to develop discipline, confidence in performance and personal scene of achievement.
Swan Lake Dance Academy classes taught by certified RAD ballet teachers, specifically prepare students for successful completion of an exam administer by an RAD examiner.

Modern Jazz Dance defies a single permanent definition. This is due to its ability to adapt, develop and evolve with the changing fashion in dance.
Through a carefully planned and well-tried examination syllabus, which combines modern dance, jazz and other dance styles, young people are trained to become disciplined and versatile dancers who have a professional attitude toward dance.
The Imperial Society of Teacher of Dancing (ISTD. UK)The Modern Theatre Dance syllabus incorporates elements of Jazz, Contemporary and Ballet. It's also included the learning of rhythm, good posture and development of style & self confidence. Modern dance transpired from ballet, movement become free and music was used from the current day.
Modern dance mixes lyrical dance with more up tempo rhythms and explores all concepts of dance of today. The ISTD created their syllabus in 1932 and are continually changing and updating their syllabus.
Through a carefully planned well established syllabus the students learn exercises, dances and amalgamations that help them to be disciplined and versatile dancers, building core strength and flexibility. Modern. like ballet, is an incredibly important dance discipline & will further enhance your child dance training.
Modern Dance often seen on the stages of musical production and is known for its theatrical qualities. The style uses traveling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns which all need strength and flexibility. This is a highly energetic dance style.
We offer classes from Primary to Advance 2 and up to qualified teacher. Exams can be taken from 6 years of age. At Swan Lake Dance Academy we are pleased to provide classes in ISTD Modern.
